Happy Holidays

I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it) and Happy Holidays (if you don’t).

I hope 2018 was a good year for you, and that 2019 is even better.

I’ve been working hard on my next novel, and things are going great. I’ll be back on this blog in the new year with more announcements, more novels, and more useful materials for your RPG games.

Single-Player D&D Campaign

Yesterday, my son and I started a single-player D&D 5E campaign set in Waterdeep (using a lot of material from the Ptolus campaign setting book for 3rd edition). He’s playing a human rogue right from 1st level, and I’m running the game for him.

His character, Dridos Gloomstrider, rescued a young girl from the clutches of an evil cult who had kidnapped her off the street. I used pieces from the last completed Dwarven Forge Kickstarter for the underground temple, seen here:

I left the dead cultist’s bodies where he dropped them. And while he succeeded in rescuing the girl, he didn’t explore the rest of the rooms. Maybe there were more cultists still in the underground temple? I’m sure he’ll eventually find out at some point in the future.

So I just wanted to share the pics, as we had a blast and will be playing quite a bit over the Christmas holidays.

Have a safe and happy end to 2018, and I’ll see you in 2019!

Happy Holidays

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who read my blog this year. I hope you get some time to relax over the next week and enjoy whatever break you get from the regular day-to-day routine.

For those who celebrate such things, Merry Christmas, Joyous Kwanzaa, and best wishes on your particular holiday, whichever one it is.

I do plan to have a more useful blog post next week, even though it will be New Year’s Eve. So check back then, before you’re all hung over!

Take care, everyone.
